An Idea, an Experience a Reality
Our Story: From Costa Rica With Love
How a passion for nature and exceptional coffee led us to create Nocturna Drip
We came to Costa Rica because it is one of the most breathtaking countries on earth. With its dramatic volcanoes, lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and rolling green hills, the landscape feels almost unreal in its beauty.
As passionate coffee lovers, we were equally drawn to Costa Rica’s world-class coffee. The country’s topography is ideal for cultivation, with most plantations thriving between 800 and 2,000 meters above sea level. At these altitudes, coffee cherries ripen slowly, allowing the beans to develop exceptional sweetness, complexity, and vibrant acidity. The rich volcanic soils further nourish the plants, contributing to the distinctive flavor profiles that Costa Rican coffees are known for.
After exploring many regions and living in the interior, we settled in the Nicoya Peninsula right in the heart of one of the world’s famous Blue Zones. Nereby we found de place called Hojanchas, a stunning mountain village surrounded by natural beauty.
Here, we discovered a remarkable coffee plantation and roastery. The coffee we tasted there was unlike anything we had experienced before, extraordinarily delicious, balanced, and full of character. In that moment, we knew we had to share this exceptional coffee with the world.
That is how our journey began. What started as an idea became a true experience and is now our reality.
